About me …

I have always been drawn to beautiful, unique images. There’s just something so fascinating about a picture that captures special moments in time, preserving them to forever be treasured by those pictured and their descendants.

It’s little wonder my lifelong passion became my profession. Now in my 30s, I make my living recording the world around me in unique and eye-catching ways, offering clients one-of-a-kind shots of their special occasions.

To ensure I stay on top of my profession, I constantly pursue new ways of perfecting my art. True artists never stop learning, striving for new ways to tell a story through their work. I attend workshops and seminars to stay on top of new ideas and techniques. I am also actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the National Association of PhotoShop Professionals, the Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association, Artist Unlimited Inc., Tampa Gallery of Photographic Arts and the Brandon Chamber.

I have applied my craft at countless events, weddings and in portraiture as well, recording with each shoot the special memories my clients will cherish in years to come.

About my style …

A good photograph is well composed. A great photograph tells a story while offering compelling composition. What separates the two is the ability of the photographer to not only take a shot, but also to make clients feel at ease in front of the camera, allowing pretense to fade and inner beauty to shine.

Anyone can take a picture, but a true photographer captures the spirit. As a photojournalist, I pride myself on telling stories with my camera, making my clients comfortable before the shutter ever goes off. My mission is be an attentive observer, recording events as they unfold from unique perspectives.

Simply taking a snapshot requires little time, but to capture the essence of a moment demands patience, skill and the willingness to think outside the box so each client’s pictures are truly unique works of art.

If you like photographs of people looking and smiling at the camera, obviously posed, then I’m not the photographer for you. Of course, I take the necessary formals, but I strive to go beyond what’s expected to ensure the photographs I take are worthy of the memories they represent.

I create my work mostly in natural settings or in a client's home exclusively, using windows or other available light. I rarely work in my studio. My clients really enjoy this, often choosing locations like beaches, or places such as the University of Tampa, Bayshore or Ballast Point for their backdrops. Clients are often amazed to find how seemingly common backdrops can be transformed into stunning pictures through the use of lighting techniques, special lenses and PhotoShop tricks.

I will go to almost any length to make sure I get the perfect shot. If that means lying on the ground or climbing on a chair, I’ll do it for the right perspective. My style is artistic, simple and very unique.
